Maya Entertainment pick 'Without Men'
Longoria, Slater pic to release in the summer
Maya
Entertainment has acquired worldwide rights to comedy "Without Men,"
starring Eva Longoria and Christian Slater, for a summer domestic
release.
Indalo Prods.' Anthony Moody produced with Lucas Jarach and
Jason Price. "Without Men" cast includes Oscar Nunez, Kate Del Castillo,
Maria Conchita Alonso, Reynaldo Pacheco, Paul Rodriguez, Camryn Manheim and Judy Reyes.
Directed
by Gabriela Tagliavini from her adaptation of James Canon's "Tales From
the Town of Widows: A Novel," pic centers on the women of a remote
Latin American mountain village that's altered the day all of its men
are recruited for civil war, leading to a female utopia -- and a clash
of the sexes when the men return.
Maya specializes in titles aimed at Latino and multicultural audiences.
